Driver CPC

Driver CPC Courses        

All drivers of LGV vehicles over 3.5tonne GVW and PCV vehicles with more than 8 passenger seats must hold a valid Drivers Qualification Card (DQC).

In order to obtain a card, drivers must attend approved training courses of 3.5 or 7 hours and achieve an accumulated amount of 35 hours every 5 years. (Note: There are different processes for new LGV and PCV drivers)
3C Training Solutions are approved to deliver approved Driver CPC periodic training courses.

    Safe Use of Skip and Hook Loaders (LGV)
    Use of Tachographs (PCV & LGV)
    Walk Around Checks and Defect Reports (PCV or LGV)
    Wheelchair Safety (PCV)

7 Hour Modules
   
    Vulnerable Road Users (PCV & LGV – maximum 20 trainees)
    Emergency First Aid at Work (PCV & LGV – maximum 12 trainees)

Please note the following:
• Courses listed as LGV only must only be delivered to candidates that hold an LGV licence
                                               (category C1, C1E, C or CE)
• Courses listed as PCV only must only be delivered to candidates that hold a PCV licence
                                               (category D1, D1E, D or DE)
• Courses listed as PCV & LGV can be delivered to a mixed group of both types of licence holders
• Courses listed as PCV or LGV can only be delivered to a group of either type of licence holder, not a mixed group
